World Financial issue

Posted on

I don’t know how many people are watching the “fallout” from the debt ceiling issue, but with the world markets crashing I am a tad bit worried. As anyone who knows anything about me me and my family live off of Silver’s disability checks and we are truly wondering how far those will go pretty soon.

I mean how much further can we really cut things back? We are having our internet shut off (once the phone company follows through) and we only fill up our gas tank once a month. Yes, we do get food stamps which is a big help when your only cash income is about $1700 a month. I like to go to discount grocers to keep our food stocks full. It also keeps me from buying the “impulse” items as you don’t get to see as many of them in these places.

I am seriously thinking that this coming shopping trip I will be buying some main stocks that I’m already full on as well as getting some canned (or tinned if you prefer) meats and fruits (commercial canned veggies make me ill). Then put them up and ignore them in case we have a major financial crisis in this country soon

I do believe in the idea of “being prepared” and I think everyone should go with their gut instincts, and mine says watch the markets closely… what does yours say…?
